Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
